Still trying to find my blogging groove. Once you stop blogging for a while it’s hard to know what to start with when you come back. To get back into the swing of things I thought I would start with doing a weekly happenings. Here are some of the highlights of our week:
Jack went biking with friends on a new to him trail. The school mountain bike team had registration this week and Jack was thinking about joining. In the end, he decided it didn’t further his goals and would cause some setbacks in other areas which were goal related.
Alex finish mudding the floor of her straw bale house.
Cairo celebrated her 2nd birthday. Hard to believe we have had this pup for two years. Where does the time go?
In science Jack is studying geology. This week was about the layers of the earth.
The lodge poles finally came in and Alex got busy on the reciprocal roof for her house. She stained them before placing them.
Hammock schooling is in full swing.
We had our monthly volunteer time at the food bank. We love this time.
He finally got to solder in coding class. This little robot has a switch and a light.
Found a little friend.
This week at our homeschool group park day I taught a class on how to make a didgeridoo out of ABS pipe. Easy to make, hard to play. In this pic Alex is putting the beeswax mouthpiece on her didg.
Jack experimented with different pvc arrangements for a paper rocket launcher.
Alex taught a pine needle basketry class for some of our homeschool group. She did an awesome job. Most of the students picked it right up.
Some pretty flowers from my garden.
Hope you had a great week!
